What is the difference in personalities between a male or female pup/dog (answer applies to all breeds of dogs) is a question we are asked ALL the time......most breeders who live with both will tell you there is a big difference in personality types....Females love you but Males are IN love with you.....a neutered male makes a better family pet over a female.....a female although they are sweet will usually bond more to one person (whoever feeds or spends the most time with them) and will tend to ignore everyone else when their 'person' is around. Females make better pets for a single person or for someone who wants their dog to love only them and just like other people in their life. Females are usually more moody than male dogs. Each home is different with who is home the most, and the reason you would like a puppy and who it is for etc... and we would be happy to talk with you about which one (boy or girl) would be the best for your home and life if you don't already know which one you would like. A neutered male will 99% of the time continue to squat to go potty as a girl does if you get him fixed at 4-5 months old before his hormones come in. A female also needs to be fixed by 5-6 months old as otherwise there will be a messy heat cycle to deal with every 6 months and she will get really hormonal and cranky for about 3 weeks while she is in heat.. A fixed pet of either sex makes the best pet of all.
